The girl working behind the counter is always so nice and friendly. Their baked goods are very fresh, and Pierogi Queen makes THE BEST pierogies.
Ordered a very large cake for my baby shower for my first child so naturally details meant a lot to me. Every detail was wrong! I simply asked for a large sheet pink cake, covered with regular white frosting and purple polka dots all over the cake and no tray.(just those specifics no writing or anything, I wanted simple as possible). What I received was a vanilla cake still in the pan, white frosting (the only part correct) with pink writing "it's a girl" and pink flowers" It just looked very cheap and quickly put together and not at all what i ordered. I was pretty bummed about the screw up but being already home with guests arriving I had no time to bring it back and immediately regretted trusting that it was okay before I left the bakery. This is a bakery I'd visit often because the pastries are delicious and the staff is nice but i wont be ordering for my large events anymore.
A good place for pastry and such, Brusos package store is next door. As is Acropolis pizza and China house restaurant. All in same plaza. John's paint store is next door, as well as the new dollar general. Rick's Parkside drive up and across the street is trackside motors owned by Bill Davis... Still I prefer countryside bakery's rye and other such delights...

Between the breads and pastries you can not go wrong here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wide selection of baked goods. Have coffee available and a small area to sit down and enjoy your food.
