Waited forever, but the waiting room was filled. Went in with terrible infection on my arm after being prompted by a friend (nurse) who was sure I would be admitted and put on IV antibiotics. I was not. Gave me 2 prescriptions that gave me an incredible rash. Long road to healing. Will head to Springfield next time.
Went to the e.r. about a week ago. The waiting room was kind of gross first of all. I checked in having severe lower back pain, an aching arm and numb and tingling fingers. They were pleasant and helpful. Then I was brought to triage. Spoke with 2 nurses who were super kind and caring. Then the billing lady came in. Also very nice. That’s where it ended. The PA came in and asked what the problem was. I told her . I was then told to take Advil or Motrin. She then turned her back and left. She was very condescending and rude. The nurse, who was very nice, had to track her down to get a work note for me. She managed to screw that up too. I have NO problem seeing a PA. There are a lot of great ones. This was not one of them. Her bedside manor was uncaring and awful. I will never step foot in that place again.
They are kind and fast. They made sure to help me and refer me how to continue receiving care. I've had good experiences with their Emergency department.
Brought my girlfriend here after a motor vehicle accident that happened on Friday. We went to a different er on the night of (which improperly treated her) she was told by her PCP to return to the ER immediately for a CT scan. When we got there the nurse who took her information kept cutting her off after every question, she was more than rude and unprofessional. Then the ER doctor came in and treated us with such disrespect for listening to her doctor. He called her PCP an amateur along with yelling at her and raising his voice saying that he knows what he's about because he's been a doctor for years. All in all it was an awful experience and we ended up walking out feeling like we were stupid. Never going here again. They really need to get new staff or properly train them.
Most of my experience has been as a regular patient not emergency room. The check in staff is fast and efficient. Most are very friendly and personable. Sometimes they are extremely busy and it seems they may be trying to be more efficient then personable. Understandable. I've never experienced any rudeness although I've seen many rude patients give them a hard time. I've had 2 emergency room experiences. One with chest pain and one with a couple cracked ribs. The chest pain was dealt with very quickly and comfortably. I was admitted for an overnight stay for observation. Everyone from the emergency room to the hospital itself was caring and attentive. The cracked rib visit was on a very busy night in the ER. A bit like "Night at The Museum" Lots of weird admissions But mostly people in worse shape than I was in which explains my longer wait time to be seen and dealt with. But when I WAS seen it was professional and courteous treatment. I was xray-ed, diagnosed, treated, given a pain reliever, advice, a prescription and released. Over the years I've had some minor inconveniences which are expected but overall very happy with the staff and care.
